Hey guys,

I noticed a few of you in these groups, too.  Worth looking into?  Pros and Cons?

Thanks! Cool

I think it helps to have your site on these lists.  You will be at the bottom, but if your site continues to grow, you may get a lot of traffic.  I use these sites a lot to get places.

It's always good to be ranked by Wisebread. Money Crashers just started a ranking system as well that you could join.

We're on both.  #303 @ MoneyCrashers and #419 @ Wisebread.  It's fun to see where these lists place us.

What I find frustrating about both is that they use PR and i've only heard of one person gaining in PR over the last year (TFB actually).  Additionally MC uses Technorati and I have no clue how to get a rank with them.  PLus MC uses SEMRush which I guess is useful but our rank is abysmal on that system.  We've had the exact same 7 organic keywords for 5+ weeks.

For brand new blogs (even newer than ours) I would suggest waiting a while to join these ranks as it is quite depressing to see you site sitting at the bottom of the list and not moving for weeks.

I would suggest applying early and just ignoring it since it wook Wisebread more than a month to add me to their list and I had waited until I would have been on the 1st or 2nd page…it stung.  Then they changed their system and I haven't looked since…

I'm on both right now. When I got to the first page of the Wisebread list, I received more inquiries from advertisers and guest posters – but then they changed their ranking system and now I hear from no one! Cry

I don't think there are any cons to submitting your site to them. Neither calls for any commitment. Just keep doing what you are doing, and the rankings will take care of themselves.
