A reader asked me to write about the major jobs available in finance after you graduate…but it's missing something – advice from people who actually work in finance for a living!

I would really appreciate anyone who works in finance/investing/banking/accounting/etc to stop by and leave a comment!  I'd appreciate it and I'm sure my reader will as well!

Career Choices in Finance

Thanks!

After graduation, the options are endless. It's more about who you know than what you know. I left you a comment.

It depends on the individual, but if he/she is interested in IT, finance has many career options in finance like risk management, reporting and analytics, datawarehousing etc.

Just left you a comment. Finance is a very broad umbrella at most companies. The best idea is to try and figure out exactly what interests you in finance and focus on getting a job in that (analysis, research, risk management, treasury etc..). Walking out of college with a degree in finance and trying to find a specialty at that point is a huge mistake. Trust me, I've done it!
