Well, if you get paired up with someone that doesn't want your post, because you talk about religion, you let me know.  I'll post it.

I was gonna say the same thing. Especially with the subject we are working with here, I think you have to expect some really personal stories that could involve religion, love, politics, or all three. That's what will make it so interesting.

Well, that makes me feel a whole lot better! I mean, I don't intend to just write a sermon or bible study, but I know that some people see any mention of faith as controversial, and they try to avoid those things.

Thanks for the encouragement!

Let me just say now that one of my major motivations is what the word of God has to say about the subject. Some people may not want a post on their site that talks about the bible, so I just wanted to put that out there now – so no one is put in an uncomfortable situation later.

Thanks for the heads up.

Regardless of my, or Mrs. SPFs beliefs (and they're not the same!), I don't want to alienate readers who believe in something other than "the word of God".

I'll sit this one out (even though it is highly unlikely we'd get matched up due to Alexa rank proximity).

Hey everyone, make sure you are using the right tab when you sign up. I'm not sure why but the spreadsheet opens to the swap from last time. You have to go to the tab for Swap #5. If anyone knows how to fix the default tab, could you please do that and let me know, because I'd love to change it. Thanks.

I don't think we'd be matched up either, but even if we are, I'm sure someone wouldn't mind switching. I definitely don't want you to not participate because of me. Let's just both stay in and if we get paired together, we'll work things out at that time.

If you are still able to edit your first post, just change the link to read "gid=5" at the very end (instead of "gid=4"). That should do it.

Now I have two reasons to edit that post, but I can't do it. I wish these forums didn't work that way. I think you can only edit the post for a few minutes after the original post.

It's a random match this time, so Alexa rank doesn't matter. However, if by chance there is any pairing where one blog owner isn't comfortable with the content of their match, then we will make the necessary changes. I encourage anyone who wants to participate to sign up.

Don't worry about your ranking. The blog swaps are great for your regular readers to find blogs they never would have known existed before. I know my readers would find your site interesting!

I'm in, too, but would like to opt out of religious/political posts if possible. They're just topics I avoid on my blog and I don't want it to be an issue with my readers, who expect the non-denominational (if you will) conversation from me. :)

I'll be writing about family and self-sufficiency if that helps with matching.

I'd also like to say that I like the idea of putting the general idea each blogger plans to write about up ahead of time, so that swaps can be made in advance if necessary to best suit the host blogs. I love these guest posts, but unlike other guest posts on my blog, I feel like I have less say in the direction and editing. I don't want to publish posts that are opposite in direction of what I'm recommending overall on the blog, but the same content may be just right for another blog. Does that make sense?

I hope no one minds, but I added a line for planned topic. If we're matched with someone whose planned topic doesn't fit, it would be easier to find a swap if we know the other topics written. If I'm the only one who wants this, please let me know and I can remove it.
