Hi everyone. I wonder if everyone is aware of the #YPRomoGroup hash tag on twitter. Please be sure to add it to your favorite searches and help your fellow blogger out with some social promos!!! That means Tip'd, Stumble Upon, Digg, retweeting, linking to it, etc. And if you're not sure, there's always the #yakezie tag to see what your fellow members have published.
Of course I selfishly say this because I need some promotion to push me below the 200K mark, but I also love promoting my fellow Yakezie. Thanks all.

I use Twitter somewhat, but I am kind of illiterate with Twitter. Tweet and retweet plenty of posts, but I am not familiar with the hash tags and such. I need to attend a little class, one that preferably serves refreshments.

So far everyone's been using #YPromoGroup (not "team"). Maybe we should switch to #YPromoTeam to save a character.

Way to keep promoting the #Hash Tag to the group. It is growing slowly, but we will get there. I think this is going to be an awesome outlet for us to get the promotion we need to hopefully get out information to pop on the front page of the various sites!

Hi Sandy!
I have a confession–I don't understand the hash tag or how to use it. Any help would be appreciated!

All it means is to type # followed by YPromoGroup somewhere in your tweet. so you can type bibjibijbjibijb link #YPromoGroup
That allows people to search twitter for #ypromogroup and see all of the tweets that have that.
The # is there just to narrow down results to people that actually mean for you to find the tweets. Like if someone typed a tweet that include "mypromogroup" you wouldnt want to find that, so be sure to type the # infront of ypromogroup.
That may or may not be confusing but that's how you do it.

I've just been using #yakezie. Didn't realize people were using other hashtags.

Craig,
This new tag was just started about a week or so ago. We are trying to have one where everyone can post to and have it promoted by the users. Should be a nice, neat, and simple way to promote each others materials….in addition to just following them and helping.

Hey Everyone,
So, to get this straight, if we have post that we need promoted (or we want to help promote) then we use the #YPromoGroup tag, but if we are just posting a general link, tweet, etc, then we should still use the #Yakezie? Thanks for any clarification everyone. I'm going to go hit twitter to do some promoting :).
Thanks,
Timothy

I think you've got it right. Just so that we're clear, not every single post that you write one week should use the #ypromogroup tag, just the one that you really want to promote. Use it, don't abuse it.
Use the #yakezie tag to alert Yakezie members to new posts or whatever else you want the network to be aware of.

Great, Thanks for the clarification. You may want to make everyone aware as I had updated fedburner to add that hashtag to everypost that was pushed to twitter, and I'm sure others have done the same! I'm going over to feedburner right now to fix it :)

One thing that helps me is to submit to all the networks and then create a bundle using the "bit.ly" URL shortener: http://bit.ly/bundles/
This way you can send out one link that will contain all the links you want. So instead of sending separate ones for Reddit, Tip'd, Stumble Upon, etc, I just send one bundled link.
I actually was using it on most of my posts over the past week. Mainly because I was posting Black Friday Ads scans and deals. I'll make sure not to go overboard with it.

Hey Khaleef,
Yeah, those bundles are fantastic. They really make it easy to get everything into one tweet!
Thanks,
Timothy

This is a great idea. I've added it as a stream in my hootsuite, so should see most of them now!

I've heard of hootsuite, what's your experience with it been so far?

I like it. Plus, it's web based so I don't have to worry about configuring several workstations to look and feel the same, I just log in. I can post to multiple accounts at once if I want, and I can keep different streams like this and keep on top of stuff.
The one complaint that I have is that when it refreshes, it changes all the previously marked "new" tweets to "read" even if you haven't actually read them. I'd like an option like in tweetdeck where you have to mark them as read for the "new" indicator to go away. But, the portability of the web based outweighs that, I think.

Thanks BeatingBroke,
I've actually signed up for it, so I'm working with it to get comfortable. It's really a nice system.
