Can you live at the poverty line? If you think you can handle it check out my guest post at Consumerism Commentary.

Thank you very much, YFS! It's a great post, and sure to generate discussion. Poverty is a tough issue to cover on a personal finance blog, because most of the time articles come from people who do not understand living in a tough spot. YFS did a great job of setting the scene, and getting readers to think about what it would be like.
I appreciate the guest post!

Thank you for the opprotunity. It was tough for me to write that post. I know a few people in that type of situation.. the sad part. They don't realize it. No budget, rediculous car payment, rediculous house payment etc etc. So not only are they in poverty income wise, they have an impoverished mindset.

Congrats :)
I have a post written about poverty but have been letting it sit for months because I think it's too defensive. It is hard to write about.

Interesting post. I have no desire to try to live at poverty level. We lived close to it back in the 70's and no way I want to go back! Still, having been close, I think I could.
