I'd love to hear what you'd consider to be your 'best investment' in improving your blog… was it buying a premium theme, hiring a designer,  getting a virtual assistant,  networking, learning SEO?

What do you think made the biggest difference?

In Gratitude,

I'd have to say the money I spent on my logo in terms of monetary investment.  Nothing beats a unique, professionally designed image in terms of making it memorable for the brand.

In terms of time investment, I would have to say this network.  I've learned much more in my 2 months here than ever before, and even had a couple members reach out to me on different issues they noticed and were trying to guide me in the right direction with–thanks Sandy & Daniel Laugh

Definitely my logo. It made my site look better, of course, but it also made it feel more "real" to me. That's what made me think maybe it could go from random hobby to something bigger, and that's what keeps me motivated.

Buying the Thesis theme, Market Samurai, and Scribe SEO. I am also going to make a bunch of changes to the design, functionality, and load speed of my site within the next month, so that will be on the list as well.

The biggest time investment has been being a part of Yakezie. From the people that I have met and the advice/help I've received, it's definitely paid off! Next to that, I spend the most time researching and writing – it takes me about 4 hours to write most of my articles, and 10-12 hours if it's a biblical article.

Like others, best time investment is certainly Yakezie.

Best monetary investment would be market samurai.

Best investment was to get a domain and hosting instead of starting out at blogger…Wordpress was a little intimidating at first but now I love it

Here's that other thread:  http://yakezie.com/forums/blog…..your-blog/

My best money was obviously the domain name and web hosting, lol, but the best money I have spent since then has been to outsource my social media and some other tasks to Jesse Michelsen and to outsource sponsored posts to Mark at Buy Like Buffett.

Problogger the book. Hands down.

After that, getting my own hosting to get on self hosted Wordpress.

After that, a developers license for Thesis.

But is Thesis actually that good? I don't use it, but I hear that it's overhyped. Do you find this to be true?

I don't think that's true – but I don't have any coding/technical skills at all, a programmer might give you a different answer.

Custom Wordpress blog design. In true thrifty fashion, I saved up for this via ad sales on the blog – it was well worth the investment.
