Hey everyone,
I have not been very happy with my blog and it's content / direction for some time now so have decided to work really hard (even if it means lost traffic and revenue initially) to bring it back to a place that makes me happy! After all, that is why I started writing online.

I have mixed feelings about writing the apologetic blog post about the blog, but as long as you have done it already, good luck!
I've heard it's more noise to say "sorry I haven't posted in so long" than to just start posting again, post better, etc.

@MBHunter, A few others I talked to have the same feelings and in some ways I do too which is why I asked for advice before posting. I decided for myself I wanted to underscore everything and give myself a public indicator of when I started to sort things out, plus it helps hold me accountable. Yes in many ways it was just another noise post but I hope you get the chance to read my latest one on my time in the Egyptian Revolution, I really hope no one thinks that one is noise :(

Ahh, I missed the request for advice. The link to your post was at the beginning of the thread. Maybe a better way to put it was that that kind of post isn't necessary. Posting something to hold yourself accountable has merit. :)
