I was coming to post this. It tells me it potentially has malware. It redirects to some random website.

Retire By 40 had a similar problem a few weeks ago, he reinstalled wordpress. You might want to check with him to see if he has any tips on how to fix this.

Hunter @ Financially Consumed had some problem around the same time also.

I was able to narrow down the problem with this scanner.

When I run Barb's site through, it didn't flag anything though.

I reinstalled wordpress though the dashboard and it got rid of my problem. Later on, I reinstalled wordpress from scratch and changed theme to Atahualpa. (This was a PITA!.) From what I heard, some themes and plugins have vulnerability.

Google webmasters also has some tips on how to find malwares.

email me if you need some help. Or you can also hire a pro – pffirewall is a member and many people use his service.

@Justin- I'm not detecting problems with my site. GoDaddy says it is clear. When RB40 had issues last month I detected search engine poisoning on Google, which has been resolved. What are you seeing?

I meant Financially Consumed had a problem about a month ago. I googled and +1 now and didn't see any issue.

Scary. I'm glad there's quite a few members who know how to solve stuff like this! When my day comes, I know everyone will be just as helpful. Good luck Barb.

Hackers and viruses are getting more aggressive.  I have had 2 or 3 viruses this year on my computer.  I am going to run that unmask just to check.  Thanks.

@Justin – there was a problem with my Go Daddy redirect. It just disappeared? They had no idea why, or that I had previously set-up a redirect. Very strange. You should be able to use all the old links & familiar URL to get to FC now.

HACKED: I received this from GoDaddy today

Dear Hunter,

Earlier this week, our Information Security Team
detected suspicious activity within your hosting account. The investigation
concluded someone had changed your .htaccess file in your home directory using
FTP. The attacking IP was blocked, and your original .htaccess file was restored
automatically.

I have asked GoDaddy to supply me with the attackers IP address.

That will be helpful. Then we can put them all in our black list for spam blockers.

I've seen this happen to Barb before :( hope everything can get fixed up!

Blacklists might not be ideal unless the IP originates in Russia or a place like that where you can be more certain it's probably the hackers — otherwise, might just be someone else with a hacked PC or someone running a Tor exit node or something.

The easiest gateways for viruses that I've seen are MSN and Internet Explorer. So guys, if you don't need to use them… please don't! Chrome & Firefox are more secure, and you can use Gtalk from a web browser. Viruses on Windows are an unfortunate occurence but you can minimize your attack surface a great deal simply by tossing IE or at least making sure you're running the latest version.

Hi All,

I am working with GoDaddy to get it cleared up. Hopefully I will be clean in a few hours. I'll keep you posted here. Thanks for your well wishes.
