Hi everyone! I recently just started the Yakezi challenge but have been writing and working on my blog since January 2012. I have been using blogger since I started and haven't spent any money on my blog as of yet.
Should I continue to use blogger or change over to Wordpress? I'm assuming the majority of the people on here currently use Wordpress.
Any opinions would be great!

haha yah I know, I started with blogger because I was a bit more familiar with it and then kept writing and dug myself into a deeper hole.
Any suggestions for web hosting?
I'm also considering purchasing a domain.
Does anyone have any suggestions for Canadian websites? or should I just go for GoDaddy.

I have a coupon code for Hostgator, which is the host I use: YAKEZIE25P (25% off when you signup)
I use GoDaddy for my domains (GoDaddy - affiliate)
If you have your own hosting, you have to own your own domain. I also started on Blogger and moving to Wordpress was probably the single best decision I made for my blogs.

Awesome! Thanks so much.
And I just haven't taken the leap yet on any sort of costs.
The blog was basically me just messing around with blogging and all the social media connected with it. Now I'm starting to take it a bit more seriously.

Good luck. If you keep your mind to it, you can do some amazing things online. And with this great community behind you, I am sure you will do even better.

Wordpress all the way! A large portion of my workweek is spent moving sites from Blogger to WP, and the longer you stay on Blogger, the more annoying it is to switch. If you do take the plunge, make sure if you hire someone that they know how to import the images – otherwise they show up in your posts but will still be hosted on Blogger.

Wordpress without any hesitation. The options and support is much better. Wordpress.org though – not Wordpress.com …. there is a huge difference.

Still a work in progress but I have switched over to Wordpress and registered my new domain name.
Thanks again for all of the advice. And I've decided to officially join the challenge now that I've switched over.
