Hello everyone!
Okay, I installed a new layout- Yay! Problem is- for some reason that I cannot identify, my existing posts no longer include the "Read more" text that I've inserted into several posts and instead shows a partial post with no link.
There is a "read more" section built into the layout (it shows up below my LinkWithin and Shareaholic) but I'm not sure how/why it's overwriting the existing code for the "read more" tag within the post body itself.
I deleted the "read more" CSS that was in the template file but I still have this problem. I realize I probably am not explaining this properly so if you can help, THANK YOU!

I see a Read More at the bottom of the articles so I'm not sure what you are referencing?
What theme are you using? See if there are any forums out there about it. It's possible someone else had the same issue (one reason why premium these are great – support).

I'm using a theme from themepix called Online Mag: http://themepix.com/wordpress-…..onlinemag/
Glen- The "Read More" link used to be in the body of the text right at the conclusion of a paragraph (only when I would insert it when writing a long post) now it shows up for ALL posts even if they aren't abridged at the bottom and it's no longer in the body of the post with the rest of the paragraphs. Plus the original "Read More" insertion that I'd put in the body of the post underneath a description paragraph (the one you insert manually when you are writing up a post) no longer shows up when published though I can insert it when typing up a post.
I hope that makes sense! Thanks!

Couldn't agree more on the premium themes and support. I know free is great, but it's been a HUGE help for me to get quick and easy answers from Headway support on issues like this. Saves a lot of headaches.

Thanks for the feedback! I am in the process of getting a theme professionally made, it's just taking longer than expected. I'm over the stress of free themes!

Check this out: http://codex.wordpress.org/Cus….._Read_More
It should answer everything. I asked because Thesis and Genesis have different rules than most other themes.

Good luck with the new design and theme! I'm useless at CSS, so I wish I could be of more help.

Is this being done from scratch or is your designer working off of template?
I ask because you should be able to fix something, or get someone else to fix it, easily should something not work. If they are working off a theme like Thesis or Genesis then you know there are a lot of people out there that could potentially help with any issues down the road, as opposed to relying on one person.
