March has been REALLY odd.
Our bounce rate was usually between 75%-80% for the past year, then March 2012 happened. We have a bounce rate of 9.13%.
I am obviously happy the bounce rate has gone WAY down but I can't explain it.
Anyone have any thoughts?

After having read this, I checked, and mine has dropped significantly as well in March (though not as significantly as yours!). I'm not too sure why, but I guess it's a good thing!

Is it good or bad? My traffic has increased over the last three months especially in March. My bounce rate increased too.

That is a very weird trend. Have you changed much on site this month that might help account for that? I'd be tempted to dig a little deeper to see if that holds true for all your different traffic sources. A bounce rate of only 9% is ridiculously good. So good that it might actually be a plugin or something that is making the analytics widget think more than one page is being loaded for most visitors.
It is important to pay attention to user metrics such as bounce rates and pages per visit. Search engines are likely going to use that more and more going forward.

Something is wrong with your Analytics code. I would re-install it fresh. Chances are it is loading twice on the same page, which makes it look like almost every visitor is visiting 2 pages instead of bouncing.

Wouldn't our other metrics be out of whack as well then? Hope not – otherwise our stats sucked large in March – my WP stats seem to be pretty close to the Analytics …
I also don't have any idea where I might have installed the analytics code!

Hmm, I also have the GA "id" in my all-in-one-seo. Does it need to be there?

Both your Google Analytics and Quantcast are pulling twice. Look in the Head section using View Page Source.
I had the same problem. It could be because of your plugin and All in One. Depending on the theme you're using, I would try to just manually insert the code and not use a plugin of any type.

I can add it manually. I suppose I didn't do so originally as when I updated my theme in the past (haven't for some time) I always have to re-do the manual code changes. I hope once I make the leap to thesis I can make the changes …

It's really easy to add the code to Thesis without worrying about it duplicating.

Atahualpa is easy enough too – just need to research it. The forums are great.
But ATA is slow. Site load time matters …

I'm just wondering whether you were getting some spam traffic that has now stopped. Could it be that you were getting loads of bots visiting your site and bouncing that have now stopped? Did you also experience a drop in traffic at the same time as a drop in your bounce rate? Cos if you did, then this is probably the answer.
