In Google Groups, we have a feature to add pages that can be edited by anyone. Will there be a similar feature on these forums?
On the same topic, will the Google Groups be shut down completely? There's a lot of good info on there; would there be a way to archive it and make it available from these forums?

I cannot speak to the Google groups, but as far as the pages piece goes, the current forum system that we are using does not support pages like were present on the Google groups. There might be another direction that we could go in the future, but for right now, if content is important enough to warrant a page, it can be either "push pinned" to the top of a particular forum that it is in or we can add an additional page to Yakezie.com. I realize that these may not be the most ideal for all situations, and I want to hear from anyone who is interested in this topic their thoughts on the issue.
I think for now, though, most of the content that was in the pages on GG can be served here with this new system. Please let me know what you think, though!

Yakezie Webmaster.
If it's broke I will try to fix it. If you need help, let me know and I will see what I can do.

That probably works too, though it places an extra burden on you & Sam to update the stickied posts whenever there's a new update! Maybe a wiki would make more sense for some things like the carnival list or guest post classifieds, though it also means one more thing in the site for you guys to install. There's no rush for it by any means. ;)

I believe as our content grows, a wiki might be a great tool here. We are also working on a system that easily allows us to get all of the advertising opportunities to Yakezie members, but that is still in the very early stages of development. My goal for Yakezie more than anything else is always ease of use for members and only one username and password to remember. That may or may not be possible, but that is my goal. Thanks for the feedback.

Why not just keep the Google Group for pages and link out from a sticky forum post…. That way the pages can still be updated by people and any relevent comments can be added in the sticky forum.

Another way would be to use Google documents that can be shared and updated by each member. We could have links to them somewhere in the private forum so that everyone could access them.
I don't think it's the cleanest solution, but it might work short-term until something else was worked out. Just a thought.
