I'm interested in finding out about how to join the Yakezie challenge.

For the last, oh…3-4 months I've been quietly fine tuning a blog on one of my domains, tweaking every little detail.  Well, I think it was about a week ago that I stumbled on FinancialSamurai and started reading, and then found Yakezie, and then finally told myself, "buy that domain already and get to town!"

My blog has been a looooong anticipated project of mine, and finally I've the urge to get it going after finding all the awesome member blogs here.  Is there a protocol for joining?  While I've got a .doc filled with some 100 post ideas, I have to admit I haven't yet got to writing…oh, 90 of them :P  Again, this was one of those "do it before I die" things that just turned into a "do it right now, no matter what!!!"

I saw that there was a new contest that started in January?? (I think?) So I guess the next entry starts in July?  If so, that's cool with me! :)

Thanks for the help and warm welcome, this does look like a great community!

With any luck I'll have a base of articles together and have this thing launched by next week. Cool

Welcome Money Mamba!

Wow your site looks pretty solid for a newbie.  Great job, you are ahead of me when I first started.  I just used default templates! Laugh  Keep it up and ask questions.  Good Luck!

I must confess…it is the 3.0 default template.  The header was made with MS Paint using Palatino Linotype and two cutouts of some stock imagery I had on hand from another site.

The bg/toolbar were just wp-side tweaks in the backend.  The new default theme is amazing, though, I don't see much reason (besides branding) why people wouldn't use it.
