Ok, so today I tried to download a "free" button from http://www.buttongenerator.com/. (Button Generator.Com). I added the budget as a widget (it gave a little bit of code that was supposed to be a specialized button for your site). That did not work, instead there was a flashing and crude looking button that only linked back to button generator.com. It stayed for a while even after I got rid of the text widget it was house in. Eventually it seemed to go away for good. But I started to freak out, despite the site not appearing from google searches to be inherently illegitimate (as far as I can tell).
Now, when I ran a pingdam tools speed search on my site (www.brokeprofessionals.com) I keep noticing this 70.5 KB and is titled under the tool as: brokeprofessionals.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js? ver=1.4.2 I can not find what this is or its function or if it is the sign of a site infection, etc., or not. Anyone with knowledge of these things know if I should be worried or not? Other than the button staying it appears that site functionality is as normal.
I am pretty much freaking out.
Thanks,
BP

Well, I'm not sure if you know but jquery is a very standard JavaScript library that is used for all kinds of things including potentially your theme or various plugins you might have installed. I can't say your site isn't compromised or that this button you downloaded isn't doing something bad with jquery … but jquery in and of itself is 100% fine.

It seems that everything is running smoothly, but if anyone notices anything off with my site, etc., please let me know. I do not know enough about this type of stuff at this point to know for sure if everything is alright or not. I have to learn more about the technical side of blogging. Before I started this blog two months ago I had zero experience so it has been interesting, to say the least. Thanks for the advice. If anyone else knows anything more on the subject, please let me know! Thanks.

I did notice earlier (when I left a comment) that when I refreshed your page, the sidebar was on the left side. I'm use to you having it on the right side, but I just figured that you were testing out a new design or something.
