I currently have my blog cents to save on Blogger. It is my domain, but blogger hosts it. I would like to move to Wordpress without losing my current Alexa ranking (227,000). I have a wordpress blog that is titled cents to save also. Last night I was able to migrate the posts and comments from Blogger to Wordpress… but that is all I have done. (Maybe I have done too much befor asking for advice )
Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I am not that well versed in Wordpress, but am ready to learn.
Thanks so much!
Lisa

I think that Crystal (Budgeting in the Fun Stuff) actually wrote a post comparing the two options. She may have included an overview of how she made the switch as well.
The only suggestion that I can make is to go with Host Gator for your hosting. I love them so far! I pay about $5/month for hosting of unlimited domains, unlimited emails, bandwidth, online customer service, etc!
If you do choose them for your host, you can use my affiliate link http://knsfinancial.com/go/hostgator and the coupon code "KNSFINANCIAL" to get 25% off!
Edit: Here is the link to Crystal's post: http://www.budgetinginthefunst…..wordpress/ – it looks like just a comparison, but I didn't read the entire thing yet.

I'm about 99% sure you won't lose your Alexa. The Alexa ranking you have is attached to your domain.

I think you'll keep our alexa as well. I paid $125 to blogcrafted.com to migrate over my 2 month old site and they set up a fake one for me to play with for 2 weeks before I moved. That helped since wordpress is more complex than blogger. Anyway, good luck and feel free to throw any questions my way. :-)

Just catching up to the threads …
I just moved early in February from Blogger to Word Press. I had 10 months worth of posts. Send me an email with questions and I can try to help you out if you still need help.
