Thanks for posting the solution – I'm in the process of setting up 3 new blogs and I forgot a lot of what I did on this one. Surprised

Another oddity for my feed.

I published an article about 3 hrs ago and it still hasn't hit my reader yet.  However, the other "version" of my feed displays new articles pretty fast.

my original is http://sustainablepersonalfinance.com/ ?feed=rss2  (put space in so it doesn't shrink)  –> VERY FAST

my feed address (the 2nd one) is http://feeds.feedburner.com/ SustainablePersonalFinance –> VERY SLOW

Any ideas on why this may be happening?  I'd really like to get my feeds out there first thing in the morning but my scheduler is still busted and the feed takes ages to send to readers as far as I can tell.

(the feed that should have arrived is Part 1 of our Sustainable Wedding Planning series)

This is driving me nuts.  Why doesn't the feed update?!?!

I posted @ 6:30am this morning and at 1pm still no feed update.  I just re-posted the whole thing.

Slow feeds suck and I really need to learn how to fix this.

Try using this link to ping Feedburner: http://feedburner.google.com/fb/a/ping

That probably won't solve the problem completely, but it should at least update feedburner until you find the solution.

Thanks KNS – that's what I ended up doing (and I did a re-sync so not totall sure what solved it).  Either way, the feed was finally burned!

Not working, AGAIN.

I'm close to giving up on RSS.  Pinging isn't working, re-syncing isn't working.

Original Feed: http://sustainablepersonalfinance.com/ ?feed=rss2 works, but is not my feedburner for my (few) readers

Feed Address: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ SustainablePersonalFinance  —-> USELESS

I don't know what is wrong with your RSS, it looks fine to me. I can see the last post is about lip balm from your blog and that is what I see in my reader. Where are you seeing the broken RSS? Just curious. May be I should check mine too :)

If you would be so kind suba to just check one more thing for me.

When you hover your mouse over our feed, does it have rss2 at the end, or just sustainablepersonalfinance ?  (the one w/ rss2 works, the one that I hope works is not working for us).

(thx for the publish time – that looks correct)

No problem. I can check that. Can you tell me exactly where I should be checking it? (sorry!) There is a sidebar on the left that says "subscription" and in each of my feed it shows the unread posts right. If I hover over that, the link that shows up on by bottom bar is "http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed/http%3A%2F%2Ffeeds.feedburner.com%2FSustainablePersonalFinance"

If you tell me where should I be checking, I will be happy to check it and let you know. RSS is a necessary pain I guess…

That is precisely what I was looking for suba.  If it has been the rss2 the text: rss2 would have been appended to the end of that URL.

Thanks so much for the help.  You are most accomodating and gracious to help me out on all of this RSS mess i've had these past few days.

perhaps the feed is working for others, but I posted @ 7am – 9.5 hrs ago and my posts still haven't shown in my reader.  Traffic has been super low today even with my letting people know I guest posted @ Prairie EcoThrifter and made a decent post about coffee.

I wish this thing would just work properly, for everyone.  I can see our site dying due to this nonsense and the "help" (hahahahahaha help! funny!) at Google is useless.

Sorry SPF :( You have go through this. I just hope the feed is working for others. Really sorry!

I know it is totally unreliable, but just thought I will let you know that I can see a coffee post and the announcement of guest post is there in my feed. I have not visited your site yet, will do that this evening, can't do it from work. So I am not sure what your last post is. Keep it as just another data point…

thanks suba

It seems complaining about it here is the magic trick – 10 hrs after I posted they finally showed up in my reader (just now)

both show 5:10pm (EST) when I posted them about an hour apart, before 7am.  Ugh.

I just don't understand and as hard as I search I come up empty on understanding why.

I ping, I re-sync … sorry to vent but it is very frustrating to want to ensure all (34) of our readers see the msg in the morning, not in the evening.  I need to post a Yakezie swap that has been organized, for tmrw, I feel like I need to post it right now just to make sure my post trade partner doesn't get shafted on people seeing her article.
