Hi all,
My blog is a simple body and sidebar layout. Do you know of any good homepage only widgets? If I wanted to add a link or ad, I can manipulate my sidebar, but don't know how to have a homepage only section.
Any help appreciated!

Widget context plugin adds an option to every widget you add – you can specify what page you want the widget to show or hide, etc.

I'm with Suba, "Widget Context" kicks butt. After you install it and activate it, go to your widget page and take a look at the widget boxes – that's where you can easily mark things to pop up on whatever page you want.

I love it as well! Before I thought you had to write in a code.

Widget logic is another good one.

Might have to look into Widget Context!
In the past I've used a plugin that allows php in the widget and then I'd write a rule into the widget to only show on the homepage (I'd give the code but I'm not currently using it).

I knew this was here somewhere. Thank goodness for search. I'll be giving it a try this evening.

I had the same question a month or so, and have been using that widget since then. It makes it easy to choose homepage only, just a click.

I use Widget Context as well. It works great for only having an add on a certain page, or only showing it when your post is about a certain category. It's a great tool.
