I really like webpagetest.org for all things related to site load time. If you take some time to do more than scratch the surface with it you will find there is a ton of detailed info there that can help you improve speed.
Don't be discouraged if numbers seem a bit higher than you're used to though. It tends to report high (realistic) numbers – but that number isn't the amount of time until your viewer sees most of the page on their screen. That would be a much smaller number.

25 plugins. I would like to get the number down, but I think they are all pretty vital. I try to make sure they are all reputable, because they can be a real security risk
