Hey all,
Somewhere in upgrading my theme, my comment links are now dofollow. I know it's not the end of the world, but considering that it could be hurting my rankings, I'd like to switch it back.
I have tried to research it, but I can't seem to come up with an answer. My suspicion is that my current SEO plugin is making the comment links dofollow, but I have no clue how to change it.
BTW, my theme is Headway and I looked at their support forums and there doesn't appear to be anything.
Any ideas?

Thanks Eric -I appreciate the help. Although, some of the links on that page were out of date. I ended up figuring it out. I had to temporarily de-activate the yoast plugin to select a nofollow option and then re-activate the plugin and it worked. Weird how that works sometimes…

Hi 20s Finance, do you think it was a theme or plugin issue? I'm just about to install Yoast as I've read it's the best.
Thanks

It was more of a theme issue, but not really a theme issue. When I have Yoast activated, I couldn't select to have my comments nofollowed. I turned Yoast off for a min. to turn my comments to nofollow and then turned yoast back on.
Overall, I highly recommend Yoast. It's a very powerful plugin and much easier to use than All in One SEO, in my opinion.

Is it good to have no follow on comments? I thought commenters did so because they could leave a link?

It will make you popular among the spammers to have "do follow" links enabled in your comments.. but overall it is a bad idea. Google really only wants you to have do-follow links within the text of your articles, and even then when used in an appropriate context. If you use them any other way, you open yourself up to penalization..
