Hi all! I've gotten a few emails from fellow bloggers informing me that my links to their blogs are not sending out the traditional "ping"/trackback that we normally get from a Wordpress blog.
I'm assuming my site has always sent out a ping and just no longer is. Is it because my posts are too long and I have too many links in them? The issue only seems to be occurring in my "Carns, Mentions, & Weekend Reading" roundups. Link here: http://bit.ly/QkprFs
Thanks for any help/feedback you can provide!

Please don't hit me, but did you check to make sure that the "notify other sites" option is checked in your settings?
Also, is it every site or just some of them? If it's only some, those sites may have pingbacks turned off. I had to disable mine because I got hit with 9000 spam pingbacks a few months ago.

Considering I'm the most ignorant blogger of all time when it comes to these things, there is never a bad point to bring up. :)
I cannot find the "notify other sites" thing anywhere. I've looked under Theme Settings, SEO Settings (which I obv know it shouldn't be there), General Setting, etc. I do believe my site was pinging people before and I'm not certain it isn't pinging everybody. I just know of two bloggers particularly…I'll ask around on twitter and see.

According to a few people now it doesn't look like it pings anybody.
