Hi all,
Anyone notice on Facebook the link feature gone? How are we supposed to promote links?

My feed never updates on facebook anymore, so I finally gave up and just manually update using the link to my website… this still works for me, I just did it yesterday. Maybe I am confusing this with something else though.

Hey Buck. What exactly do you mean by the "link feature"?

At the top of your wall you will see the word share. Next to that you will see an option called link. Click on that. Then copy and paste the URL you want to share and paste it into the link box. Then hit share.
Hope this helps.
PS: This applies if you have site page not a personal profile.

Hi Justin, Khaleef, and Miss T.
I need to look again. On my profile, there was an area to insert a link and share it. Yesterday I only had an option to share a photo. Perhaps I was too sleepy, I'll check again.

Mine updates but not instantly. It just updates when it feels like it.

Buck,
I just went to your Facebook wall page and I see the icon to share a link (right next to the share a photo option). Is that what you are talking about?

Hi Dana,
On my home page, it has status What's on your mind. Before I could hit link and attach and link write a comment and share. Now, I can only add a photo or ask a question. Perhaps I'll play with the ask a questions and attach the link? Zuckerberg!

Once you paste the URL in the status box, it automatically recognizes it as a link and looks for an appropriate picture to use for the preview. You don't really need to hit "link".
I wish they would stop making those types of changes.

I have discovered that the pic attached to the article needs to be no larger than 300x300. Otherwise it won't load. In my experience (for whatever that's worth), a good Facebook thumbnail really drives traffic.
