Hi all,
When you pay or receive payment, does your name appear? Do you use a PayPal business account to display your business name?

I use my personal paypal account that I've had forever. It does show my name, but since I'm operating as a sole proprietor, it is probably the easiest way to do it. If you're operating as a business with a business structure, it would probably best to use a business account with the business name on it.

I think it shows my real name (I should check!).

I was using my husband's account until I started doing a lot of transactions. Now I have an account for Budgeting in the Fun Stuff.

Paypal is pretty neat in that you can add additional email addresses and names to the same account. I kept my personal account since I operate as a sole proprietorship, but added the Payments@mpfj.com email address to use to make things look a little more professional.

Buck if you are wondering if your real name will be exposed, then yes. The name you used when you registered with PayPal will be shown atleast when sending. I'm not sure while receiving though.
If you have a personal account, no way you can hide your real name. If your blog is registered as a business, then of course, that can be different from your real name.

I actually use my personal account with my name on it. I suppose I should change that! Thanks for the question.

Mine is in the business name, but the business name has my own last name in it. So I guess I'm in both camps. LOL

I use the name of my LLC – KNS Financial – for PayPal, and my bank accounts.

I use my personal account and just added the Narrow Bridge e-mails (eric@narrowbridge.net and paypal@narrowbridge.net) so I can get payments from those addresses too.

I have a personal and a blog Paypal address. My blog one has my pseudonym, not my real name.

Thanks all. I ended up making another PayPal account. Don't be alarmed if you see Buck Inspire in your PayPal transactions.
