Wondering if anybody here can offers some suggestions here on a site development question.

Basically, I have an idea for a new site, but am not entirely sure how to execute it. Along those lines, I'm thinking that a discussion with someone who knows site development will be useful at this point.

My question is: where do you suggest finding someone? Any suggestions?

Squirrelers, what do you mean by site development? You have a business idea and want to develop a site around it? (like including ways to execute credit card transactions?) or you are looking to start another blog and want to have a professional do the design etc.?

If it is the later, I have heard a lot of good things about our fellow Yakezie Peter http://www.logosforwebsites.com/. I have seen his portfolio, they are really great. I heard Blog Crafted is very good too.

Suba – more like another blog, but would need some help with structure/design, as it's probably beyond my scope at this point. Anyway, thanks for the tips (I do know BlogCrafted by the way).

You could hire a freelancer from Odesk to answer your questions and design it like you want.

I have found that the best way to develop something is to dream it, draw a picture of it, and try to build it yourself. If WordPress doesn't do it, which it usually does, I suggest looking at Drupal.
