Hey guys,
I have been having some troubles with my feed the last few days. I actually just figured out a workaround, but was hoping someone could help me with the underlying problem.
My feed has not been updating with my posts. I finally found a workaround in using a different feed from my website. For example:
http://www.thousandaire.com/feed used to work, but in the last few weeks, stopped working.
http://www.thousandaire.com/feed/rss currently works great and updates posts when I post them.
I've changed my feedburner settings to point the rss one instead of the regular feed, but does anyone have any idea why these two would be out of sync? Thanks.

I've been having trouble as well. I think it might just be a glitch that Feedburner is working through.

I looked a long time at the feedburner stuff, but couldn't find the problem. Then I looked at my feed and realized it was wrong. As soon as I changed it to the working feed (the one with rss above) it immediately updated, so at least in my case, it is definitely an issue with my site.

This is the best way to really understand how WordPress feeds work. I think it would help all of us (I just re-read it) to read it to get a more in depth understanding of feed options.

Are you using any kind of redirect or feedburner plugin?

Well, it happened again today as both the /feed and /feed/rss didn't update. I tried to think of plugins I had added since this problem occurred and I realized I had added Google XML Sitemap. When I disabled that plugin, everything worked just fine.
I hope tomorrow everything works fine as well. If so, I'll just have to get rid of that plugin and find something else for my XML Sitemap

Wow! I've heard a lot of great things about that plugin (on these forums), so I'm shocked that this happened. Maybe it had something to do with the WordPress update (to 3.1)?

It was definitely broken before I upgraded to Wordpress 3.1.
I can't say for sure if it was that plugin, but I guess we'll find out if everything goes back to normal. With that being said, it might be my theme that's incompatible with the plugin.

As an update, with that plugin disabled, my blog this morning posted like a champ to the feed right on time.

That is strange. Did you check if the sitemap plugin had an update? That too useful of a plugin to keep disabled!

I have reactivated it and I will test it tomorrow when I post a rare Saturday post (it's a Yakezie Blog Swap Roundup). In fact, I think i'll uninstall and reinstall the plugin and see if that helps.

One thing I notice is that the Google XML Sitemap time is 5 hours ahead of my local time. I wonder if the sitemap is doing something to the timing of the posts so when I schedule something for 8:00 am local time, it's changing that schedule to 5 hours later…
Anyone know how to change the time in Google XML Sitemap?

As an update, I posted this morning with Google XML Sitemap activated. It didn't update the feed. As soon as I disabled the plugin, the feed updated. I'm gonna try to dig in and find out what's wrong, but I'm 100% sure the plugin is the problem now.
