I'm using Google Analytics Popular Posts for my food blog. A lot of popular posts plugins base on the number of comments, which isn't very useful for that site, because it gets very few comments. This one instead bases it on which posts have received the most pageviews in Google Analtytics during the period you set.

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I use an old plugin called Most Comments. So they're the most commented posts, as opposed to the most popular (traffic-wise).

thanks for sharing these. I was going to manually code links into the sidebar but that Analytics plugin looks awesome.

Believe me, make your own list with text widget, that works best. Number of comments as criteria for popular posts is no good financially and in capturing users interest perspective.

Your popular posts draw maximum clicks from interested visitors on your home page, make sure this list have your best contents, even if they didn't receive much comment. You can only judge with your instinct, no statistics (comments, visits, page views, etc) are better tan your own judgement.

Now probably I am deferring from every other bloggers here, but this technique has really worked for me and no harm in trying this.

We have a number of lists.  I just wrote the HTML myself.  One less pluging to slow the site down.
