I have to say that I didn't even know about this, but I will say that it is pretty cool.  I like how your coin can deactivate if is not near your phone for a specified amount of time.  It makes it easy if someone steals your coin.

Very useful in the US for swipe merchants, but doesn't work (from what i can see) for EMV or contactless and hence seems almost behind the times in Uk, Europe & Aus.

Summer of '14 seems like a long time to wait for some tech that we don't even know how well it works.  It sounds like a great concept but I'll wait until it gets some real use.
