Wanted to send a shoutout to Dr. Dean for beating Mike Keown for a Georgia State Senate seat! With 100 percent of District 11 precincts reporting, Dr. Dean Burke of Bainbridge is Decatur County’s new state senator. Burke finished with 7,738 votes to Mike Keown’s 5,507 votes. Burke won 58.42 percent of the district’s vote.
