I don't usually write very long posts, despite the fact that the joke in my U.S. History class in high school that "Antrobus" was Greek for "long-winded" :) But when I started writing a post about my anti-minimalist leanings, the words kept on flowing. At 2131 words, I finally had to cut myself off at 2am last night to get some sleep. I think this one definitely qualifies as one of my rants as a "personal finance contrarian"
The Case Against Minimalism
What are your feelings on minimalism?

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

I read your post and I enjoyed it a lot. I agree with a lot of the points you made. Minimalism has its virtues but I think it is overrated, especially in the blogosphere. :)

I read and commented! I think minimalist can interpreted differently by every individual.

Minimalism has always really resonated with me, although not in the "only have 100 things" kind of way. Off to read your post now…

I read and commented. I guess I was never aware that there were so many labels/categories on saving/spending habits. Kind of reminds me of music genres getting very specific in my rock and roll days :) .
