Hello guys,

it's been a pleasure being part of this community for the past few months. I met a handful of people over at fincon12 and it was great.

I didn't get to talk to everyone nor meet everyone so this is why i am going to put this out here. I currently work for a tech company called Planwise

We've created a tool that allows people to model any cash in / cash out scenario.  It's been out since early this year but we have just done heaps of development and would love to get your response to it as you guys/gals are really involved in this industry.

You can look at a demo video here -  to get a basic understanding of what it can do

or play around with it yourself here http://fincon12.planwise.com/

Just a side note this is a demo and there is more being added as we speak. I hope some of you have the time and patience to check it out and let me know what you think!

Cheers,

Ryan

Watch the demo video I linked to in the original post.

I'll also give you an explanation. Planwise is basically a robust calculator that can model multiple different scenarios of cash in cash out and display them for you on a graph.

EX. You can see how getting a raise in december will help you save for a higher downpayment for a new car in April and how getting that car is going to make it harder to have enough money for that trip you want to take in August.

You start off by clicking on current finances and set up your persona profile. (ie, current bank balance, monthly income, single or joint, all monthly expenses and any loans, CC's or property. Once you have that set up (can take a few minutes)

then the plan modeling will revolve around your finances. I hope that makes sense.

The custom part you clicked on allows you to display a portion of the graph of your choice ( meaning certain dates in the future) to have an estimate of what your cash at bank amount should be

Hi Ryan, really enjoyed the video. Love the simplicity of the tool, especially the automatic graph movements, nice addition!

To me though it did look as though you could insert your own data. Mind you I've only watched the video (without sound) as I'm currently in work at the moment.

I'll check out the link when i get on my laptop so that i can have a true play around with it, see what it can really do! Smile

Thanks Ryan
