A family member just got me the book 'Personal Finance for Dummies'… do you pf people have any thoughts on that book? Is it any good? I don't read books very much, so I want to make sure that it's got good advice in it before I start what will probably take me over a year to read!

I actually am a big fan of all of the Dummies book series. Even though the title makes it seem a little low key, it actually gives some really good advice on a complex range of topics!

As 'my personal finance' mentioned. From my experiences from all the dummy books are really good, since they strip it down to the bare basics, making it really easy to follow.
Give it a try! :)

i have a few of the dummies books myself…they are very easy to read and great for getting a primer on a subject. It is worth a read and maybe it will inspire you to read more about the subject.

Definitely a great place to start. The Dummie books never seem to disappoint, although I''ve never read this one myself i have read others relating to finance which have been great sources of info.
Let us know what you think, whether it was helpful or not!

Dummies material are written by top notch experts in their field 'dumbed down', if you will, for the layman. An excellent primer for sure.
