So… my wife is 9 weeks pregnant. Had a very different Black Friday shopping list this year than in the past! I'm currently reading everything I can get my hands on, but there is so much I don't have any clue about it's not even funny.

Questions I'm looking to have answered include:

  1. where to find part time child care that will do early mornings
  2. recommendations for a baby gate for the stair well that our three legged cat can still get through
  3. resources for first time fathers that aren't stereotypical

I'm looking for editors, beta-readers, and some demographic research for my upcoming novel, Once Upon a Saturn Moon. If you like reading soft sci-fi thrillers, maybe with a touch of romance thrown in, you can find more information at http://seampublishing.com/once…..aturn-moon

Congrats, man, that's awesome.  Reach out to me through e-mail should you ever need anything.

As far as your question about the gate, you won't find anything that is marketed as a child gate that will meet your needs, but you'll have to look for a pet gate.  Look up a Carlson Walk-Thru Gate with Pet Door.  It will tell you that it's NOT a child gate, but we used it at the top of our stairs for both of our kids, and it worked great for the cats to get through.  You just want to keep an eye, once they start crawling, that they don't try to follow the cat through the door, but our kids never had any problems.

Thanks for the tip on the pet gate. I had looked at that one, but when I saw the disclaimer, I kept looking. But if it worked for your two, that's enough of an endorsement for me.
