Wanted to stop by and announce the following.
I started the Extra Money Blog in the last week of July 2010.
7 full months and a few days later today I am @ an Alexa of 97,000+
For whatever it is worth, it's good seeing the number trickle down quickly

Great job!
I have a question for everyone out there. My Alexa ranking is exactly the same today as it was yesterday. Exactly! Statistically, that just seems impossible to me. And add on top of that that I had a lot of extra page hits yesterday which would, I would think, cause some sort of change… especially because in the last 10 days my rank has been dropping rapidly. Right now it is showing up as 1,265,772 which is exactly what is was yesterday. Seems weird to me. Has anyone else had this happen? Could it just be a cookie issue and it just isn't appearing right on my end?

I'd love to, if I knew how. Honestly I never understood Alexa, and have never put much weight on its function. However many advertisers are still defaulting to this statistic ufnortunately because of a lack of a better tool. I don't post nearly as often as many new bloggers do or recommend they do. In fact I only post every 3 to 4 days. However, if you read my posts, they are quite extensive (thus my sticky rate is very high and bounce rates low). In addition, I heavily focus on SEO to the extent possible w/o interfering with my quality/message.
