I usually get between 4 to 8 hours of sleep per day.
I feel more vibrant when I get 6 1/2 to 7 hours, if I exercise that day. If I don't, I get a big sluggish in the early evening.
If I sleep under 6hrs. or over 8hrs. I am a zombie all day long, no matter what I do.

Hey RB40,
Glad to hear you are getting more sleep. Can you squeeze in naps? It may help.

Hey Kay,
Sounds like restful weekends! I tend to use my naps as a quick boost. On weekends, time permitting, I try to sleep in longer.

Hey Jason,
How about doing exercise at night? The light workout could relax you and help clear your thoughts. You'll be more tired and after a cool shower, pop into bed, lights out, and sound asleep like a baby.

Hi Miss T,
That would be challenging if two partners had radically different sleep patterns. Thanks will hunt down that Lifehacker article!
My girlfriend usually snuggles up to me while I play on my laptop all night. I think I'm too tired to give you an ideal figure.

I tend to sleep about 7-9 hours per night and probably about 8 is the right amount for me. The important thing for me is getting up at the same time especially over the weekend. I find that I function better with a shorter amount of sleep, but with a regular alarm time then I function better than having the extra sleep.
I have been meaning to try biphasic sleep http://www.stevepavlina.com/bl…..sic-sleep/, as I really enjoy napping.

Yes, getting up at the same time all of the time is the best for you. Your body feels the best when it keeps a regular schedule. Glad you are seeing the benefits. We too try to do the same thing.

I'm a grouch without my 8 hours a night. Ambien helps when I'm away from home but doesn't allow for a natural deep sleep – so I can only take it a couple of nights in a row.
I do usually get 7 – 8 hours a night.
