One of the reasons I started a blog was to interact…so yes, I answer almost EVERY single comment

I answer all comments because I value everyone's input. The only ones I don't are spammers and those comments are deleted.

I try to answer all comments, but I do miss some during my most hectic weeks.  I really hope I get the point across that I truly appreciate all of my readers…

I want to answer all my comments, but sometimes miss this task.  It's been harder and harder to find that time now with a second site.

I pretty much do what SPF does. I'll often pass over the one-liners, but I do try to give insightful responses to my readers – especially if they ask a question.

I reply to all of my comments, but sometimes I wait a week and take my time responding. I do read every single one as they come though, since I use Disqus and get an email for each one.

Hi Matt,

Thanks, that's good practice!

Hi Jacob,

I normally return comments in a day or two, but sometimes life happens and I get delayed, throwing me off a bit.

I try to answer whenever anybody asks a question. I get a lot of people looking for help with promos and stuff, so I try to help all of them, but I also get a lot of ravers and ranters about "bad" companies, so I don't respond to everything. I actually had somebody challenge me on a post recently, so that was fun to respond to.

I answer all comments because I know that when I leave a comment, I really like to get a response. I admit, I don't get to all of them, especially if they're just short and don't give you much to respond *to*.

I read every single comment and make a serious effort to write a meaningful answer to every comment. That is what builds community in a site.

+1 to this. A blog is all about the community and the conversation.

I try to respond to most of my comments, but I dont for all.  If they are commenting on a really old post, I dont bother, but if it's a current one, I do.

I have the Wordpress app on my phone and that makes replies easy.

I try to respond to all comments. I absolutely enjoy the disussions, it's part of what makes it fun for the readers (and blog owner too!).  Building a community where people are comfortable sharing ideas and discussing things is the goal.

I schedule my posts over the weekend and most of the week not near a computer for long times. So I don't reply immediately but I do reply to every comment that either asked me a question/more information/need clarification. I read every single comment and try to reply. If I it is a new post, I reply to every single one. If it is an old post, I reply only if the commenter asked me a question or clarification.

Responding is extremely important – and a great way to engage the readers (or meet other PF bloggers, and pay the favor back by commenting on their site!)

I created a new rule for myself: if you leave a meaningful comment, yes, most likely I will respond. If you say something just because you want to put a checkmark on your to-do list, no I won't respond.
