After I was featured on the Huffington Post I was bombarded with the question "How did you do it"

I still do not know what made the editor select my article.  I think one of them follows me on twitter and randomly selected it based on the title.  Since I want to become a regular contributor I went on the hunt for Huffington Post contacts and in my search I found and obscure link to submit your blog pitches.

Here is the step by step guide to submitting blog pitches to Huffington Post

1.  Navigate to http://www.huffingtonpost.com

2.  Scroll to the very bottom of the page and click the "contact us" button in the footer

3. You should see a "Send us a Blog-pitch" heading.. click "contact us"

4. Submit your pitch according to the guidelines

Tons of traffic.

Before the mention I only averaged about 300 visitors per day mostly google search traffic.  When my article was featured on huffington post my referral traffic jumped and pushed me to the 1200 vistors per day mark.  For the last few days the referral traffic has settled, but my search traffic has now climbed to about 450 visitors per day.  So, now I'm hovering around the 600 visitors per day mark.

I doubt the referral boosted my search engine traffic, but it seems odd that I see a 50% boost in search engine traffic after the referral.

Ad sense revenue tripped but, I didn't receive many subscribers from it.

How long did you have to wait to hear for their reply? I'm thinking we will submit an article or two, but I don't want to wait forever before we pitch it to somebody else…or use it ourselves.
