I originally announced joining the challenge on January 4 ,2014 on my website with an Alexa score of 432,171.    I actually completed the challenge a few months ago when I broke 200k but wanted to go a step further and break through 100k within my 6 month period.

I am excited to announce that I just broke broke through the 100k today!  I am 99,649 as of today.  I just beat the 6-month mark!

I believe there may be an approval process every few months so I look forward to becoming a member when that next class can apply.

Thanks to anyone that follows along on my journey to FI!

Great work!! It becomes addictive once you get past that 200k mark doesn't it?

That's awesome!  How did you do it?  What strategies did you employ?  What was your posting frequency?  What was your rank when you first started?  How long have you had your blog before you started?

Sorry if its too many questions – that's very exciting and encouraging

@ Moneystepper,

Thanks, It certainly does!  It's been a blast so far.

@ annielogue

I enjoyed posting before I even knew what the Alexa Ranking was.  This has just been fun to track the last few months.

@Mom Cents

Well I have posted at least twice weekly since joining.  I've also made sure to reply and visit everyone's page that commented on my site and leave a comment on theirs.  I started at 432k Alexa at the beginning of the year.  I had my blog about 1 1/2 years before starting the challenge. Feel free to ask any more questions.

Your graphic at the top of your page looks really cool by the way.

That is amazing! I just got started with the challenge and have the goal of breaking the 100k in 6 months too. :) Please share your top 3 tips on how to get there. Laugh

renaudgagne,

I know your question wasn't directed towards me, but I got my alexa score down to about 70k, but now its back at about 120k.

The major steps I took to reduce my rank (and then stopped doing which put it back up) were:

1) Join discussions with other PF bloggers in the comments sections on their sites. Don't just fire off random comments, but start meaningful discussions which will be beneficial to everyone.

2) Interact with PF blog owners via email and social media. Again, introduce yourself properly and start a mutually beneficial agreement with each site.

3) Get more involved with Yakezie.

On the final point, I have slacked in the past couple of months. However, I've just moved from being employed full time to focusing on my other projects (including moneystepper), so you'll have to put up with more of me on the forums now!!

Next stop for me – back to 100k!! Laugh
