Business correspondence is normally considered private.  If you don't like an offer, you can choose to let the bidder know or not entertain further emails. I don't think there is anything wrong with what Corey did.  Everyone wants the best price for their purchase.

It is professional courtesy to ask for permission before exposing private email.  The least you could've done is removed personal details like names and email addresses.

I still don't see it.  Not sure where I should be looking.

I know Investorz Blog was your "baby" and may have been offended by Corey's offer….but I'm not sure the d*ckhead comment was warranted.

You probably found it already but it's posted in PDF form on his new website

I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion, but you can't take it too personally. Remember, on the Internet everything lives forever. If you feel that way, say it out loud but leave out those kind of words when you put it in writing. ;)

Do you want to elaborate, SPF?

Sure buddy.  Just like you didn't mass click the ads on my site.  Pathetic.

As for failure # 3 – this is far from an original idea.

Oh, and it's common courtesy to ask for permission before posting emails. I have no idea if it's illegal or not — I know that legal notices and stuff like that are sometimes posted to Chilling Effects, but I think it's common courtesy. You're very young so it's better that you learn these things now instead of later.

Thanks MC.  I can't believe he published these emails.  Again, pathetic.  True colours shining brightly now. My suspicions proven true about this me-me-me malicious twerp.

I agree with SB – it is time for Chou to be banished from these parts.

The dickhead thing is the only thing I heard of until SPF said he was mass clicking his ads. I would really like to know more about that accusation as maybe that affects more of us.

Seriously, Tony is no longer a challenger. Should we allow him to post here any more? Understand any one can post in the forum but, if someone is getting on other's nerves every now and then, shouldn't we consider some measures?

What do you say admins?

Sure.

Stemming from 2 confrontation with Tony (@ P.E.T and then in the consumerist thread I started in Oct) our site had numerous adsense clicks coming from these two sources. The clicks were all from the same part of Toronto Tony lives in, same host, same service provided – same everything.  Interesting that these clicks happened solely from where I confronted Tony (@ P.E.T for information inaccuracy and then the Consumerist thread where he acted like a 4 year old) on the days when these confrontations occurred.

The chance some "white knight" did this for him? Mmm, none IMO.

Add to this Google already banned his sorry ass for clicking his own ads just further reinforces his patterns.

Ok, thanks for clarifying. How did you first notice the abnormal pattern? Correlating adsense revenue with referrer? I don't think I've ever tried that.

Our adsense doesn't earn $30 a day was the first flag. I then used Google Analytics to figure out where the clicks originated (source pages) and the landing pages (from P.E.T. it was the commentluv link and the consumerist it was the post they highlighted) and to confirm all of the other identical traits/metrics of the source of the clicks.  A good lesson using GA, unfortunately I was forced to learn.

Good analytical skills in play. :) Something happened to a friend once, except in his case it was a misinformed friend trying to help. He set him straight pretty quickly. ;)

Wow! I am speechless.

Chou showed absolute disrespect to Yakezie, its members and challengers. Publishing private emails is lowest of the low. Disgusting and disturbing. Seems like he is a vengeful, mean, and a very envious troll. And an obvious liar. I bet he never intended to leave blogging. All he wanted was to try and sell his blog, come back with a new one. I guess all these threads about selling/buying blogs gave him an idea to sell. Probably, he will try to sell his new blog again. Hopefully, we will never know it.

Harvard anyone? Wink

I missed that PDF the first time. I can't believe that he posted those private emails and exposed everyone like that.

Also, the insults about Corey were completely uncalled for. It seems that he got offended because he made the tongue-in-cheek comment about having spending money for the holidays. Very immature!

@SPF, I am shocked by what happened to you as well. I remember the thread about the Consumerist – where he was being very immature – I can't believe he would try to attack your ability to bring in income like that.

Tony,

Please ask for permission with your e-mail counter party before posting the dialogue publicly.  This is common courtesy.

People are going to have a hard time trusting you otherwise.

Thanks,

I totally skimmed through the post and re-read it now. Wow is all I can say. I really don't want to associate age with immaturity since I know a lot of mature teenagers. This.is.just.wrong.

I didn't see the emails.  Wow.  For the record, I never gave permission for my private emails to be made public.  Glad to see my part of the ad services being mentioned somewhere though…sheesh, what a mess.

I probably would have offered 900 at the most, I've bought a lot more for a lot less. ;)
