It's been a couple of months, and this was a tough choice for me. So here's why.
Honestly, I gotta focus 100% of my energy on studying for my SATs (I'm trying to get into Harvard), so I can't spend any more time on my blog.
Traffic currently stands at 3000-4000 visits a month.
Currently, the blog makes more than $500 a month in private advertisements (e.g. sponsored posts). If anyone wants proof of revenue, just email me at investorzblog@hotmail.com and I'll send you over a file listing all the advertisers who've advertised on Investorz Blog. As you can see, there are no Google Adsense ads, but since we're getting around 80 hits a day from Google alone, I'm pretty sure you can implement Adsense and earn more revenue.
So if you're interested, just shoot me an email at investorzblog@hotmail.com

Hey Tony – sorry to hear you're thinking of selling. Why not just let your blog sit as is for several months while you study for the SAT? Then, it will be there waiting for you when you get back.

Actually, I'll be gone from the blogosphere for more than a few months. After I'm done with the SAT (hopefully by summer 2012), I gotta really focus on starting some school clubs (as a highlight for my university application). Then I gotta study my butt off next year for Gr. 11 (hopefully a 95% average, which is Harvard's cutoff line). So I'll be gone for maybe 2-3 years.

Its a surprise. Tony all the best to you. Do let us know if you really get in to Harvard. Expect to see you again in blogosphere somewhere down the line.

I know how important academics are. Would your blog presence and traffic help any with the application?

Probably not. Everyone's making websites these days, so the Ivy League universities don't really pay attention to that sort of stuff.

I would have to imagine that having such a successful website while pulling off those grades, would be more impressive than joining a couple of school clubs. Anyone can join a club, but it is much harder to become a respected blogger who focuses on investment analysis.
Maybe you can just slow down the pace of your writing and keep it around for a while.

Well said KNS! When I was applying to jobs several years ago, the hiring managers were always very attentive and impressed by the various entrepreneurial efforts I've taken on throughout the years. It's definitely a way to set yourself apart. However, things may be different for applying for jobs vs. academia.

Good Luck with any deal! I would possibly be interested but I don't think I'd be able to offer you a number that you'd be interested in. If you don't get any offers email me at myjourney@myjourneytomillions.com

Tony, I would keep the blog. Leave it static and study but I would keep it. It's your investment. It might worth more than you think in the future

Tony, I sincerely hope you return to blogging at some point. You're good at it and people like to read your stuff. But I totally understand your reason for stepping away.
