Do you guys write for or had any experience at any sites that pays you for each view of articles that you write for them? more like residual earnings instead of pay per article basis? Any recomendations?
I'm trying to find extra ways to pay for my hosting each month, any bit of income would be nice. Thanks guys

You can get that type of income from Demand Media, but for your efforts writing on your own blog is probably more profitable in the long run than a site like that.

You can still try HubPages and Examiner but I'm not sure they'll provide enough money for your hosting. But, they do base your earnings on your page views, so it's worth a try.

Stay involved with your network of readers, write great stuff and stick it out w/ Yakezie and those hosting costs will dissipate in terms of their impact.

I was apart of "Demand Studios" when they were eHow, and had probably about 50 articles there. I wasn't paid for June or July, and when I emailed the tech people, they said that all of the old content had been ERASED. I am FURIOUS about that. I did not spam the site, I did not even promote my own website in my articles; they were legitimate articles. Now they are all gone.

Yeesh! That is ridiculous and would be frustrating.

The likely reason your articles were erased is because eHow ended their Writer Compensation Program. You should have received several emails from them informing you of the end of the program and offering to buy your articles. I know they sent me several emails about the end of the program. I declined to sell my articles and will be using them on my own sites. Now that eHow doesn't have your articles you are free to publish your articles on your own blog or other sites.

Thanks for the info. That makes me even more furious–I did receive emails about them changing to Demand Studios, and I was accepted into the program. From my understanding, my articles would remain and they did remain for a year. They never offered to purchase my articles, but kept paying me each month. And they NEVER informed me they would be erased. I do not have these articles saved anywhere else. They are gone forever.

Have you tried searching Google for a phrase from your articles, if you remember some? Or checking the Wayback Machine?

I have used Textbroker with a lot of success. The articles are all keyword articles so they are very easy to write. I have made well over $4000 in the past few months.

Hi Amanda,
That is terrible I had a quick look to see if I could recover any of your articles as a lot of ehow content gets scraped by other websites. I think this one might be yours and still up http://www.ehow.com/how_523088…..s-etc.html which makes it even worse that they are trying to make money of your work. I couldn't find any others (just happened upon that one by accident)
I would also remove your links to your ehow content http://www.frugalconfessions.c…..prints.php. I would hate to see them benefiting from links after the way the way they treated you

I've been with Textbroker since November 2010. I wrote consistently from January 2011 – March 2011 and made over $4000. It can be grueling work sometimes, but if you can type well then you can make some easy money. it won't sharpen your writing skills, but it can generate some quick cash.

the amount paid is depend on the article you write and what rate they're offering right? That's really good money for just 3 months of work. How long are the articles usually?

It is. You get rated as a 2 3 4 or 5 level writer. based on your rating, your level of pay varies. The typical article is about 400 words. I was rated a level 4 writer, but I wrote mainly level 3 articles, because they were easier and I could write them faster. I was able to earn about $28 per hour when I worked at it consistently.
