I got the buyout from the old eHow. It was not a ton of money, but I made a lot from them over time. They didn't say which articles they were buying or which were being trashed, but I am not that concerned with it anymore. I did do a lot of writing through the Demand Studios side for a while, but now I just focus on my blogs.

I've made a few thousand writing for demand media. As far as I'm aware, they pay the best for articles. However, I hear that they are not accepting new writers.
The following article lists a whole bunch of posibilities, but I do not have any experience with them.

Henry,
Thank you so much for taking the time to look into my articles! I will definitely take off their link, and I guess try to salvage a few of my articles….
Jackie,
Hello! Wayback Machine…what is that? Sounds intriguing:).

Henry—Wow. I just checked that article, and it IS mine! So you are right, they are profiting from it without paying me now. I am definitely going to have to contact them (someone other than their tech department) and find out what is going on. I feel used right now.

For those of you who received a buyout, would you mind passing along your contact? I am having trouble getting in touch with eHow people (other than for technical assistance with their website).

I didn't have a contact for the buyout. I just got a no-reply email with a link to a form where I could say yes or no.

Wayback Machine is http://Archive.org but be careful, you may end up spending a few hours on there. Especially when you start looking up Facebook and other sites that you remember how they looked way back. lol

Wayback machine is probably one of my favorite websites. You can find lots of hidden gems on that website.

I'll have to check Textbroker out as well. When you say you wrote consistently for them, is that 2-3 times a week or more often?

Great tips in this string. I just wish I had more time. You'd think that a retireee would have oodles of it, but life just keeps getting richer and denser!
