Our new site logo is up! We like it a lot and would appreciate constructive feedback from Yakezie.
We used logosforwebsites.com the service by fellow Yakezie Member Peter. He is incredibly accomodating and patient and helped us get a banner we like: http://sustainablepersonalfinance.com/
We got a big package from Peter that includes a twitter design: http://twitter.com/#!/sustainablepf and a facebook design (on the way) + a gravatar and favicon (need to receive favicon and review gravatar still). Great service and super patient :).
We've been a bit concerned this week watching our rank go fron 85,000 up to 89,000 even tho we've had a lot of Yakezie comments this week. Not that a logo will help but we hope our site is looking a little more professional now.
The background image is the view we have at our cottage in Autumn when we look over the lake (we have a family cottage (cabin) on an island in the middle of the lake).
We also added a Media Mentions page and changed our About page to include the graphic my brother-in-law created for our wedding invitations in Autumn 2009. So Mrs. SPF and I are now depicted in picture form :)

I think it's absolutely fantastic! Well done! LogosForWebsites definitely provides some great value.
I love that you incorporated the view from your cabin in the site logo, that definitely makes it more personal and unique. You really have a great image now and I think it was money incredibly well spent!!

Nope, it doesn't include a copy of thesis. I can get one at a reduced rate though – for a client site license of $40.
Here's what's included in the package you mentioned:
1 logo, 1 favicon, 1 Facebook graphic and 1 Twitter background design
with up to 10 revisions. Will Also setup your new WordPress
installation, install or update recommended plugins, and consult with
you as you set up your new site. Can also install header, background and
favicon graphics for Thesis users.
Also includes one copy of the "How To Make Money With A Blog" ebook

I really like the new logo. I like how the circle is incorporated and the background is serene. I also appreciate the white glow around the subtext. It makes it easy to read and it's appealing to the eye. I think it is a win all around!
