How many prefer PC and how many are Mac users?  Not meant to be a flame post, just curious! Smile

What do you like most about your system?

I use both, but prefer Mac.  Just snappy and user friendly.  But MS has done a good job with Windows 7.

What I miss most on a Mac is gaming!  Good to see more games are popping up, but the best are always on the PC!

I am a Windows guy all the way. I would use Linux (have in the past) before going to Mac. I like my old school iPod, but I hate how Mac locks down its products. You have to jailbreak Apple products to get most of them to do what you want and they write scripts to break your unlocked items. If I spend money on a computer (or phone), I want it to do whatever I tell it to do.

If I did more with graphics and video and audio editing, I could see some value in Mac apps, but I don't and I love my PC.

I have a PC but would love to get a MAC one day. My parents and most of my friends have MAC and love it. But it is expensive.

PC for me.  Mac's are nice and all, but a little pricey for my tastes – I think Windows 7 was a big improvement and have no qualms with sticking with it.  it does everything I need/want (and I'm not sure i could ay the same for a mac).

I might get an iPad one day when they're on about their 3rd generation or so..  that's my peeve about apple products in general.  Their product release schedule punishes early adopters.  We all know what is in store for the next few generations of the iPad – and it could all have been included from initial release..  but their customers seem willing to rebuy the same product with each minor revision, so who can blame em.

PC for me! I use Windows and sometimes Linux; built the machine myself roughly 3 years back.

I am a huge PC person!  I have built my own, and love it for gaming and application diversity.

To solve the speed problem, my latest computer has a Solid State Drive (like a giant flash drive), and it is quick!  I boot from fully off to fully functional in about six seconds!

I am mostly a PC guy, but I also have a MacBook Air which is nice and light.  Interface is pretty sweet, too.

How big is the SSD? How much did you spend on it? I wants an SSD so bad but have been turned off by them costing like $10,000.

NarrowBridge, they have come down in price sooo much!  I got a 160GB, and it cost me around $400, but I was checking out NewEgg before responding, and the 160s are down to about $300 now!

Totally worth the investment.  My only worry is a lot of reviews have said they fail a lot.  I back-up frequently and have not had any problems, but it has only been about 4 months.

I just love my MacBook for everyday stuff, reliable, fast, ergonomical, but I still use my PC for certain things.

I think PCs have now surpassed Macs as far as video and photo editing goes, whereas Macs used to be king there.

I'd like to try Linux, there should really be more options out there than the 2 main systems, seems like a limited market overall.

I'm a PC guy too mostly because I'm a programmer and it is just easier to use a PC especially, when programming in Microsoft's programming languages.

I really admire Apple as a company and how their products are so user friendl and polished. I think they have done a fantastic job, but – like NarrowBridge – I just can't get around the level of control they exert over their users.

I also feel Windows 7 was a bit of a saviour because it added lots of small little things that just make using it so much more enjoyable. Microsoft is finally getting the user experience message and doing something about it!

PC 4 life! Cool

I hate paying premium for brand names. Sure, their products are nicer, but I'm OK with windows.

Hey all,

I big difference between PC and Mac for me is editing on Wordpress.  Writing in the post body on a PC, it sometimes moves back to the top and you have to constantly go back to where you were.  VERY UPSETTING!!! Yell

Safari or Firefox on my Mac doesn't have that issue.  Also when inserting links, I don't have to deal with a popup about warning me a script is being run.

I may need to work on my blog more from my Mac, now that I mentioned it… Confused

You can get rid of that popup re: script by adding the URL to your trusted sites.

I'm a PC person and that's all we use at work; so it helps to stay on the same platform.
