So excited about finishing the Yakezie Challenge, I didn't realize I spelled Blake Griffin wrong!!! So embarrassed. Neat side effect though, I quickly changed my link name and page name to griffin. Apparently WordPress is smart enough to redirect any griffen links to the griffin one.
Word to the wise, check your spelling, especially your title and tags, even if you are really super excited about your post!

I didn't know that WordPress would redirect traffic from the old link to the new one. That's good to know!

Khaleef, yeah wordpress would redirect urls with some very common spelling mistakes. I made a mistake with "student" spelling, left the e out, changed it within half hour but google had indexed it by that time. I still get visits from "studnt" url :)

I think Wordpress added an auto-redirect in one of their recent releases. It doesn't seem to be a well-documented feature though, at least form the Dashboard.

I did this same sort of thing once – I spelled "asset allocation" with two "t's" on the word asset..Sorta embarrassing!

Embarrassing, but at least we can laugh about it.
