I have a small website where I sell titles that I have acted as the e-publisher. I started it as an add-on to my regular formatting service, but so far only one person has signed up. With just three titles, it doesn't get much traffic or add much value.

I've been thinking of opening it up to my formatting clients and/or all writers. On the one hand, more content means more visitors and more people who may buy, meaning more money for me and more money for the authors listed. On the con side, opening it up to non-SEAM Publishing published titles means diluting my brand.

 

If I don't do something to try to grow the e-commerce side of the site, I will probably go the other direction and reverse my website so that the main page advertises the service and put the ecommerce  on a subdomain.

 

I'm interested in opinions on which direction I should go. Should I open it up or is the market for generalized ebook stores saturated and not worth my time trying to compete? I'm especially interested in those who have used my formatting service in the past.
