Hey guys,
What do you recommend to use to share your posts? I am using DammSexyBookmarks, but my theme adds it as more to the next page. Do you guys have a favorite?
Thanks!

I use DiggDigg at the top of the post and Sexy Bookmarks at the bottom. I like the combination, because Sexy Bookmarks has many more networks included, but DiggDigg transfers the information better in my opinion. I don't think it's too much – let me know what you think: http://knsfinancial.com/tax-re…..-extended/
Also, DiggDigg has a feature where the buttons will wait until the rest of the page loads before loading. This way it doesn't hurt your load time that much.

I used to use AddThis but I found it was slowing down my load times a lot. I didn't think SexyBookmarks was available for Drupal but I found out recently that it was so I installed it instead.
I was hoping people would click on them more, but it seems they click on it almost as much as they did with AddThis … practically none. I even got a big traffic boost from a featured article on a popular site this week and still hardly anyone clicked on those links.
Anyone have any tips for getting more clicks and having readers share your stuff with their own networks?

Maybe I am nuts, but I think those buttons probably don't get used very often. I use sexy bookmarks but just use subtle 16x16 icons on a bar at the bottom of my posts.
I can see in my stats that one of the buttons has been clicked once.. I assume it was a mistake. :)
A "tweet this" button is probably best.. the rest of them.. I don't know.. like "digg this" will require a pretty large number of clicks for it to have any meaning in my opinion.
Do you guys find these social media buttons actually add a lot of value (eg. bring in new visitors)?

Well, I have had a lot of traffic from Stumble Upon and Reddit. Once in a while Tip'd gives me a boost as well. The one benefit of having the buttons is that if you ask for help promoting your article, or if a number of bloggers like what you wrote, it makes it very easy for them to just click a few buttons to promote you. Rather than having to go to each site and copy/paste your link and possibly write a description.
