Noticed today by means of increasing hits from Technorati. The top 100 finance blogs are completely dominated by yakezie members and challengers. Many of us are (surprisingly) ahead of even GRS and TSD.
This ranking doesn't make sense much but still its being followed by many.

yah I never understood their list. I've seen myself as high as #3 or #4 I think, but obviously it's a joke. But having a lot of Yakezie members there is awesome!

That's pretty sweet! My ranking is always up and down, but typically in the top 100. I have no idea what their ranking system is, but I receive OK traffic from them.

I still have problems with Technorati. I did find that one approach is to delete my account and recreate it. The only problem is that it resets my basic authority back to zero, and that sucks!
Has anyone else had any issues with Technorati?

I'm up and down on their list too. They send a few readers everyday so I'm pretty happy about that.

I've had SO MANY problems with Technorati that I've pretty much given up on the process of having my site indexed by them.
At one point, I was doing pretty well (in terms of ranking and authority) but then I moved to my own domain… and nothing. They have been unable to re-index my site, so it still appears under the .blogspot domain, causing my authority to be very low, and since all of my current links are to my own domain, it's been quite lame.
I'm really not a fan of Technorati. I wish they weren't a factor in ranking sites. At least until they got some better customer service.

My problem is they recognize my authority, so I rank well on sites like MoneyCrashers, but they didn't correctly put me in the financial category (actually any category), so I have 1s for all of the categories that I selected.
I need to bite the bullet and delete my site from their listing and re-add my site. Perhaps magic will happen and all will work as expected.

I have had technical issues getting my site listed with them, they send me a code and continuously have issues finding it through my feed. Im keeping at it, but not aggressively.

I am having similar issues with wise bread, they open ticket and mail me each time I contact them to include me and thats pretty much it!

Technorati uses links from other blogs to calculate authority, so by design (as we link to each other a lot more than other bloggers) Yakezie blogs will dominate. And links from high authority blogs boosts the authority even higher. I usually rank 5-30 in finance, top 50 in business. I was in the top 100 in travel & politics (!) for sometime, so I don't believe them much :) But I like my rank :) Personally I have never seen traffic from Technorati except on those days that I am one of the top movers and come on their sidebar.

Phew, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I recognize the name Technorati but I've never actually looked at it or taken the time to figure it out.
