I emailed this out yesterday but want to be sure everyone knows about it in case I missed any Yakezie members in my contact list.
Here is the original email…
I'm sending this out to all my fellow finance bloggers to get the word out on the new Canadian Finance Carnival at Canadian Finance Blog.
The carnival will run every Sunday and you can submit your post during the week here.
Please submit by 5PM EST on Fridays. In the future, you can also find
the carnival link in the navigation bar just under the header image.
The carnival accepts any posts that are still relevant today and
applicable to Canadians. So this means no posts on Roth IRAs, but also
no posts about old news like tax announcements from 2009. However,
non-Canadian sites are encouraged to participate with any posts that fit
the carnival theme. I'll be somewhat easy regarding this one submission
rule… for example, if you have a post on retirement planning and a
part of it mentions 401ks, I'll still accept it as long as some part of
the post provides value to Canadian readers.
Otherwise, this carnival is wide open, and a great way to build
links to a post you'd like to do well in Google. Have a post from 2
years ago on building an emergency fund? Or maybe 6 months ago on how to
save money on cars? Go ahead and submit it, there is no 1 week or 1
month time limit on submissions.
What's in it for me? I'm also hoping to do some link building, so I
do ask that you link back to a post you like instead of the carnival
itself. When you submit a post, your confirmation email will even
suggest a few I'm hoping to push up the rankings.
So I'm hoping you'll add the carnival link to your other bookmarked
carnival submissions. More links are good for all of us, this should
give us a new opportunity to grow our sites!
