Want to grade your website and see how you're doing? MOZrank is a ranking system similar to Google's page rank, except the public ranking is updated more often.
Thanks to Forest for reminding me of this.
You can grade your website here: http://websitegrader.com/ and http://blog.grader.com/
I have a MOZrank of 4.38.

I got 4.77.
I've been using both sites to grade my progress since I started blogging, but really, focusing on content is key to growing, not these rankings :) they are fun though

True, true, one shouldn't get too attached to these things. It is fun though :P

According to my SeachStatus bar, I have a 4.83
What is the point of MozRank? Is it supposed to be a current prediction of Page Rank? Or just something different altogether?

It's something different altogether. The numbering system is the same concept, and they also look at backlinks and other factors just like Google with Pagerank so they are similar in that sense as well, but they use separate algorithms for arriving at the ranking.

I have a 3 too. But as with PR I have no idea how I could increase it. I am still waiting for google to give me a PR, will also leave this to improve by itself, not that I know how to anyways…

Don't stress, it's just a number. Keep writing quality content and networking and the rest will come.

Mine was 4.88. Not sure what it means really, but thanks for letting me know about it. I think I've heard of SEO Moz before but never looked into it. On the other hand, the last thing I need is another statistic to distract me! :)

Good stuff. Let's market our MozRank to advertisers as well, esp if they are higher than our PR, and if we hae a PR of O.
I used WEBSITEGRADER when I first started, and made sure to do plug in all the holes it told me for Financial Samurai. You guys should too.
Earning money online has a TON to do with marketing. And for newer challengers, you will get to piggy back off older challengers (like myself) and our relationsihps once you complete the challenge and get invited to write a Member Post.
Everything takes time, so take your time, no rush!
Cheers,
Sam

5 for me…. It's a shame so many advertisers rally behind pagerank, especially as it is so out of date but hey…. It really is just a game of plugging away and marketing yourself in the right light.

Mine is 4. I found some other interesting tips with that websitegrader site as well, like I didn't know registering your site for longer was perceived as better, and I guess I have too many images on my site, which is strange, because I feel like I hardly have that many.

Moz 4, Grade 97, apparently too many pictures as well (and my site is not photo heavy at all!), and a red box because my domain expires in 4 months. I guess I should buy it up for awhile to increase my rating?

I went up from a Moz 4 to a 5 simply by buying my domain name for more than a year (I bought it for 5 years, lol). I also am told I have too many pictures, lol. I figure I'm happy where I am. Honestly, don't change things or overbuy if it makes you uncomfortable – I just did it because I cannot imagine a scenario where I wouldn't want to own "budgetinginthefunstuff.com" forever – unless I am bought out, which would mean I'd scoff at the $24 I "wasted". Even if I voluntarily stop blogging, I'd want to own my site for memory reasons. :-)
