Yakezie Challenger vs. Yakezie Member vs. Yakezie Supporter

I'm on my second run through being a challenger, and I've come to a personal decision that I thought I would share. I don't think Yakezie membership is going to happen for me. I love the people in the network, and I love participating in a lot of the things with the network, but between my day job, staff writing, helping some of my family, starting a new career, and keeping up with my daily responsibilities, I found there isn't enough of me to go around.

So I hereby announce myself as a Yakezie Supporter! I'll still be a part of the message boards, available for any activities I can help with, will be reading and commenting on Yakezie blogs, but I'm giving myself permission not to be crushed when I run out of hours in the day.

Thank you all again for your continued support, and just remember, you're not getting rid of me…and for that, I am truly sorry. Wink

Don't apologize. It's not a bad thing. It's actually a very very good thing. You recognize your role. You stand by your passion and you aren't afraid to express it.

I say good for you.

Trust me I know how you feel. Cool

Thanks guys! I worry that I was just having a pity party, but I found out I have some family out of state that's very ill and it's caused me to address my priorities. I want to be a contributing party in this network, but I know that my blog time is suffering. Maybe being a supporter means being an indefinite challenger? We'll see how it goes. In the meantime, I have much love for you all.

Hi Andi, from what I realise the beliefs and principles of Yakezie are the most important thing, so continuing to support is fantastic. I've just joined and it's incredible the support and people who are part of this group. If I wasn't starting a blog it would still be a fantastic group of people to be part of.

All the very best in the future and I hope your family member gets better soon.

Thanks John. In truth I really would like to be a part of the network, and be a member, but I think the most important thing is building and maintaining relationships and I forgot that I need to do that offline as well.

Thanks for your kind words.

I think that's just fine. I'm a challenger still, no idea if I'll make it to 200K alexa though since, like you, I have a full-time job, a family, and a house to upkeep. I figure if I don't make it, I'm going to stick around, just like you, but maybe I'll never be able to become a full-fledged member. And that's okay, I'm not sure the label is as important as us all supporting eachother and learning from eachother!
