I kept seeing the badge on some of the blogs I read daily and finally just threw myself onto the comment thread at Financial Samurai, lol.
When I started (8/27/10) my blog, I was checking out other blogs and noticed the badge. I joined on November 29th and got real serious about promoting my blog within a few days. My original Alexa ranking was 4.4 million/460k. Virtually unknown! As of today, my Alexa ranking is 1.6 million/166k. I can't wait to see what I can do in the next 2-3 weeks!
The other stories are encouraging, I hope to share more good news soon.

I remember I wrote a staff post for moolanomy about my impending unemployment, and Sam invited me to join the Yakezie. All I could think was, "ya-what?" and I hemmed and hawed for quite a while. I'm now a beta challenger and looking forward to being a full on member.
